Empanadas are very tasty traditional Ecuadorian meals. These are made of small amounts of ground beef, chicken, potatoes, rice, onions, cheese, and spices in any combination(Empanada Recipe). Empanadas are wrapped in dough then baked or fried. They are regularly large, about a sandwich size; eating one is like a snack and eating two is like a meal. Some nice restaurants serve small portions as an appetizer. Other than restaurants, empanadas may be found at bakeries. They are very inexpensive, with the average cost being only one dollar(Traditional Ecuadorian Food).
